About

Rebound Retro Lab

Rebound Retro Lab is a one-person workshop for the machines that refused to stay in the past — the Commodore 64 first, with Amiga, MEGA65 and a shelf of retro consoles along for the ride. Reviews, deep-dives, hardware notes, and the occasional 6502 rabbit hole.

Why "Rebound"?

Because retro keeps bouncing back. Every generation rediscovers that constraints are fun: 64 kilobytes, one blitter, a SID chip, and a lot of cleverness.

About this site

Hand-written retro assembly elsewhere; this website, by contrast, is AI-assisted — vibe-coded in the open with a very patient robot. It's built on plain Flask + MySQL, self-hosted, and deliberately cookieless: no trackers, no banners, no nonsense. Comments are welcome and lightly moderated.
